Highway to Tribulation - Endtime Prophecy
EPILOGUE

At the beginning of this study I quoted Genesis 3:15, a Prophecy God makes concerning the Serpent or Satan, the Woman or Israel and the Seed or Jesus. The verse describes how the Seed will bruise/crush the head of the Serpent. Genesis means the beginning and of course is the first book of the Bible. Amazingly, the last book of the Bible, Revelation contains a parallel Prophecy to this verse, in fact virtually repeating the Prophecy but going into much greater detail as to the drama that is about to unfold. The two books were written thousands of years apart. Yet the similarities in meaning are crystal clear. I mentioned that Endtime Prophecy is a consistent theme throughout the Bible, like a thread that runs through an entire tapestry. I will quote them one after the other, and see if you can identify the subjects of each Prophetic utterance. When you see this thread it is unmistakable; pull one end and it draws on the other end.

Genesis 3:14&15 "And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this,....... I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel"

Revelation 12:1-6,9,12&13 "And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon(serpent) having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns upon his heads. and his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child."

Revelation Chapter 12 is a seminal passage in all of Prophecy. In one chapter it outlines the ongoing struggle between Satan and the woman Israel and her seed, Jesus. It also describes a period of three and one-half years (the second half of the Tribulation) during which God supernaturally hides, protects and feeds the Children of Israel, much like He did after their escape from Egypt. (See Revelation 12:6,14-17)

Other unmistakable symbology or typology is described in the Woman being clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet and a crown upon her head of twelve stars. The type of interpretation can be found in Joseph's dream which he describes to his brothers and father. In his dream the sun was Jacob, the moon was Rachel and the twelve stars ( In Joseph's dream they are sheaves of wheat ) are the twelve tribes of Israel or the sons of Jacob. This Woman brings forth a man child. He is described as one who will "Rule with a rod of iron". This harks back to Psalm 2:6,7&9 "...I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion,....thou art my Son....I shall give you the heathen for thine inheritance.....thou shalt break them with a rod of iron:"

It is well worth noting that the European Union uses a symbol of a woman with a crown of 12 stars upon her head. This is unquestionably a part of the "Great Lie", the endtime deception that is being prepared as a substitute for the true Kingdom of God. The seven heads and ten horns ascribed to the great red Dragon are undoubtedly a description of the beast that the Woman rides, a description which fits Rome, the "City built on seven hills" as it has been described for millennia. The 10 horns are the 10 divisions repeatedly mentioned in eschatology. When Roman Catholicism went off the rails in the time of St. Augustine, the concept of replacement theology began its insidious growth. Both Catholic and some Protestant sects adhere to this unscriptural rendering of the Bible. Replacing Israel with the Church. This is not only unsound theologically it is an affront to God Almighty and will be punished. Though the Church and Israel share many areas of common ground, they are separate entities.

We in the Church have not been given land or cities. Israel has. "Christians" vying for control of Jerusalem or interfering with Israel's control are courting disaster.

"And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone....., all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces...." Zechariah 12:3

This is a clear warning to all outside parties whether they be Muslim, Christian or Atheists to avoid staking a claim to God's city. He has given Israel claim to Jerusalem and all of Israel for their exclusive use. Mis-guided Christians who believe that we have some rights over the city are sadly mistaken. Other than supporting Israel in her God-given claims on the city and land, Christians should not get involved.

A sure sign of the end-times is an ecumenical move towards a sharing of control over Jerusalem between Muslims, Jews and "Christians". In fact as discussed, the Anti-Christ will confirm a covenant of peace between the factions now vying for control of the Holy Land and specifically Jerusalem. These are virtually the last signs to be fulfilled prior to the Rapture/Tribulation.

At this moment Prime Minister Olmert of Israel is revealing plans to divide Jerusalem in a desperate bid to bring peace. When Jerusalem is again divided, God's wrath will reach the boiling point. Thus begins the series of 21 judgements which when poured out upon planet Earth, will cause destruction unlike any seen before.

Noah's ark was a picture of Jesus; a place of sanctuary from the judgement poured out on the planet. Today is the day to seek Him; the only sure refuge from the coming long night of Tribulation.
