Islam vs. Democracy; Why are they so opposed? Part 4
The concept in Islam that lands once occupied by Islam must be
reclaimed is, in my opinion, a facet of "saving face" or more
accurately, regaining face. The number one issue facing Global peace
and stability is Islam's insistence on world domination. Ultimately
the whole world must be Islamic and of more urgency, former Muslim
lands must be re-conquered.
The media, much of which is now owned by Arabic entities, swallows
whole the claims of the terrorists surrounding Israel. Perhaps the
most glaring example of re-writing history would be that which
pertains to Islam and Jerusalem. Jerusalem is named over 800 times in
the Bible and never once mentioned in the Koran. Mecca and Medina
have always been sacred to Islam, but only after the 6-day war of 1967
did Jerusalem suddenly attain "3rd Holiest Muslim Religious Site"
status.
There is bitter disagreement with the claims of the Umayyad dynasty,
builders of the Dome of the Rock, as to being legitimate promulgators
of Islam. In the late 7th century in an effort to compete with the
Kaaba as a place of pilgrimage, the Umayyad set about to build a
great mosque atop the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. At the time, no
spiritual significance was claimed for Jerusalem and in fact the whole
concept of building this competing edifice was ridiculed by Mohammed
Ibn al-Hanafiyya, a close relative of the prophet Mohammed. Hanafiyya
described the Umayyad as "damned Syrians" who pretend that "Allah had
set his foot on the rock in Jerusalem, although only one person ever
trod on that rock, namely Abraham." see

Although Muslim extremists or the average Muslim believer may find the
overspreading of Democracy abhorrent and therefore may find a
sympathetic ear in those who do not necessarily agree that Democracy
should be the default setting for politics globally, their insistence
on opposing the Jews at every turn, particularly in extorting "land
for peace", makes them an enemy of the God of the Jews. As time
rushes past and Jerusalem and the "disputed" territories which are
Israel's by Divine decree and were mandated under the Balfour
Declaration but subsequently stolen from her and given to her enemies
become more and more the focus of World opinion, we can expect to see
God begin to show His displeasure. The stage is being rapidly set for
Him to gather the nations together and to judge them for "parting His
land". Supporting Israel could become increasingly difficult if the
world chooses to believe the lie that Israel is expendable when the
choice is between "Peace" and supporting God's chosen people.
